The Jam

Session 1: July 5th – 9th, 2010
Session 2: July 12th – 16th, 2010

Tuition: $250 per week

Monday – Wednesday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Thursday – Friday: 8:30 am until showcase is over

Application Deadline

All applications must be postmarked by June 15th. Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis until all spots are filled for each session of the JAM, so it is best to apply as soon as possible. You will be notified via e-mail of your acceptance. If you wish to apply after June 15th, please contact us first at rock@bgajam.com.

Student Qualifications

Students should be ages 11-19 and have a minimum of 2 years experience with their instrument. Exceptions to age and experience are sometimes granted, so contact the JAM to arrange a live audition if this applies to you. Most students attend regular weekly music lessons on their instruments throughout the calendar year. Many perform in music showcases, school talent shows, school bands or garage bands, and are active in musical theatre. There are NO beginner lessons at the JAM.

To apply for the JAM, you must submit all of the following items:

      1. Application
      2. Medical Form
      3. Waiver
      4. Student Questionnaire
      5. $100 deposit (Checks made payable to "BGA – the JAM")
      6. Audition recording (NEW students only; cassette, CD, MP3 or DVD of 1 song for vocalists, 2 songs for instrumentalists, basic recording, not studio quality)

Your application will not be considered until all items and the $100 deposit are received. Enrollment is limited, and acceptance is considered on a "first come, first served" basis.

Tuition payment may be made in 3 installments, per the payment schedule below, or it can be paid in full at any time. Full payment is required prior to the beginning of camp, or the student may not be allowed to attend.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR ONE WEEK OF THE JAM:
$100 deposit (required with application)
May 1 - $75     June 15- $75

PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR TWO WEEKS OF THE JAM:
$200 deposit (required with application)
May 1 - $150     June 15- $150

Scholarships

If you are in need of a scholarship, please request a tuition assistance application from the JAM by contacting us at rock@bgajam.com or at 615.435.3503. Students requesting tuition assistance must meet certain requirements in order to be approved. The maximum amount of assistance available per student is $150 of the $250 tuition.
